Content Architecture

We handled a massive portal: cross-linking each author to works and related media, plus a new library database with multi-level search that mirrors WMF’s archiving workflow during Development.

Visual Tone

The Design leans editorial: warm cream space, bold cobalt panels, and burgundy accents over a navy footer. A portrait mosaic and framed video blocks add texture, while rounded cards and clear arrows keep sections scannable.

UX for Discovery

UX choices prioritize finding material fast: bilingual navigation, project sliders that preview then drill down, and a library interface built around keyword search plus filters for type, author, and publisher. Card layouts repeat fields consistently, so users can compare entries without opening every page.

Why It Matters

WMF’s work spans advocacy campaigns and long-form archiving. The site treats both as first-class: projects like “Who Is She in Egypt” sit beside oral histories and private collections, all reachable through consistent “More” paths and searchable cataloging.
